We present two types of Solar Water Heaters:
Evacuated Tube Collector (ETC):
The ETC operates on the ‘Black Body Heat Absorption Principle,’ utilizing vacuum tubes made of borosilicate glass with a special coating for efficient solar energy absorption. ETC Solar Water Heaters are known for their higher efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and a temperature range between 60 and 120 degrees Celsius. Their low maintenance cost and ease of tube cleaning contribute to prolonged efficiency.
Flat Plate Collector (FPC):
The FPC consists of a metal box with a top cover (glazing), a dark absorber plate at the bottom, and insulation to minimize heat loss. While FPCs may cost more and have lower efficiency compared to ETCs, they boast rugged construction capable of withstanding various water pressures. The FPC’s water heating temperature ranges between 60 and 80 degrees Celsius.
